This April, I was recently featured in our regional newspaper, The Advance of Bucks County. The article was called "Impressions of a natural treasure - Langhorne artists preserve borough creek on canvas."
I joined other artists from the Langhorne Borough&Mac182;s Arts Council to create our individual depictions of the Catawissa Creek, the Borough's only creek and watershed. We hope our efforts will help save this watershed area, one of the headwaters of the Neshaminy Creek and one of the last open spaces left in Langhorne Borough.

In August 2003, I spent ten days painting in Paris and the Loire Valley with my Father, who is also a painter. We were part of the Atelier Alupi workshop and stayed at the Château of Pocé sur Cisse, near Amboise. http://www.atelieralupi.com/en/atelier.php
I painted on the lovely grounds of the château, improved my French, and met some talented and friendly people. However, painting with my Father made it the most memorable trip.

For the summer of 2003, I was one of the eight artists chosen to be an Artist in Residence at the Heritage Farm in Langhorne, PA. We were each given a studio in one of the buildings on the farm, which was saved from Real Estate development by Langhorne Open Space.
This organization was recognized as one of the original 1,000 Points of Light, and the only organization that buys land to preserve as open space. In my studio, I focused on landscapes in oil and pastels. I think being in a computer studio the rest of the year had made me long for green vistas. My walls now reflect my summer efforts.

In October 2002, I was commissioned by Arrow International to go to the American Society of Anesthesiologists meeting in Orlando Florida to paint the underlying anatomy involved in three different anesthetic blocks.
I painted on a lovely model, and afterwards, Dr. Andre Boezaart would demonstrate the approaches for the blocks and answer any questions. The body painting attracted a lot of people to Arrows booth, and everyone had a good time with it.
